The 3rd North American International UniArts Festival Joins Forces with the IAI Cultural Creative Award to Expand Globally

At 10:00 a.m. on November 23, 2024, the Press Conference for the 3rd North American International UniArts Festival and the First IAI International Cultural Creative Award was grandly held at the "Longitude and Latitude Plaza" exhibition hall in Shanghai. The event was jointly organized by the American Academy of World Art Studies, the North America-China Council, and the Asia-Pacific Designers Federation, attracting prominent figures from the art, design, and photography communities in New York, Seattle, Japan, and various cities across China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou, and Xiamen. Together, they gathered to witness this remarkable occasion.



At the beginning of the event, Liu Shuchun, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 3rd North American International UniArts Festival, President of the American Academy of World Art Studies, and a Chinese-American artist, introduced the preparations and program details for this year’s festival to the attendees. Gan Runyuan, Managing Partner of Benyuan Capital Group, Professor at the School of Economics and Management at East China Jiaotong University, and Chairman of Shanghai Huawen Publishing Company, along with writer and poet Qian Zuoyang, delivered warm and enthusiastic speeches.

The launching ceremony of the First IAI Cultural Creative Award, as the core theme of the event, drew particular attention. Oskar Ho, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Designers Federation and founder of the IAI Design Award, attended the event in person and shared insights with the guests about the origins, background, and profound significance of the IAI Cultural and Creative Awards.

Subsequently, several industry elites shared their insights. Ms. Liu Yunhua, the IAI Design Award winner and Mr. Yang Huizhong, APDF Greater China Council Member, also Ms. Li Minghua, APDF (Suzhou) Youth Creativity Center Council Member and Zhu Jia, Deputy Director of the APDF Digital Intelligence Product Application Research Center, took the stage one after another. They shared their personal reflections, showcasing the passion and contemplations of professionals in the cultural and creative fields from diverse perspectives.


After the speeches, the guests moved to the exhibition hall to admire the photographic masterpieces of Chinese-American artist Liu Shuchun. Each piece, like a slice of time, captivated the audience, drawing them to pause and offer words of praise and admiration.



The event also featured lively discussions centered on two major themes: “World Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage Preservation” and “Chinese Cultural Creativity and Folk Art.” Participants shared their insights, delving into strategies to revitalize traditional culture and exploring pathways for the internationalization of Chinese cultural heritage. The exchange was rich with innovative ideas, injecting fresh energy into cultural preservation and development.


This meaningful dialogue not only broadened the scope of cultural dissemination and deepened mutual understanding but also strengthened cultural identity. Moreover, it laid a solid foundation for future artistic exchanges and collaborations, serving as a guiding light for continued progress.
