On October 13, 2024, Manuel Amaya, Dean of the School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Chile, and his delegation met with Mr. He Changcheng, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Designer Alliance, at the Beijing Park Plaza Hotel where they were staying. The two sides had in-depth discussions and plans on future cooperation in design education, academic exchange activities, and 2025 cooperation projects. Accompanied by Abel, the international director of the Asia Pacific Designer Alliance, the two sides also visited the architectural design firm of Steven Holl, winner of the IAI Lifetime Achievement Award, in Beijing. Roberto, a partner and renowned architect of Steven Holl, provided a detailed introduction to the firm's projects in China, Asia, the Middle East, and other regions in recent years. The guests expressed great interest in these creative architectural works. Finally, the guests and hosts had a pleasant dinner together at the popular Beijing restaurant Jin Dingxuan.
