This is the fourth design master who received this special honor afterfamous designer Steve Leung 、Tony Chi and Xing Tonghe.  

Biography

Since having graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1986, due to constructiondevelopment needs of China,Zhang proposed the application of establishment of China's environmental art anddesign major to Ministry of Higher Education. In 1988 the application wasformally approved, thus Environmental Art Design was added in Chineseuniversities directory.

Then, the “Interior Design ” majorof Central Academy of Art and Design in which Professor Zhang Qiman is deanfirstly expand its department and changed its name to “EnvironmentalArt Design”.

Afterwards the relevant institutions across the country have set up aprofessional environment art department with enrollment expanding. Professor Zhang Qiman works hardfor the fundamental construction of environmental art design department. Inaddition to abundant achievements in teaching,theoretical research, text book compilation, Zhang firstly lead teachers andstudents to carry out professional research and take part in social practices outsidecampus, having been involved in a number of major design and constructionprojects and was very well received by all sectors of society. Soon after themerger of Central Academy of Art and Design with Tsinghua University,Professor Zhang Qiman transferred to the Central Academy of Fine Arts andestablished " Environmental Art Studio" ( ie, the second studio ) .Exploitation of environmental art and design in Central Academy of Fine Artsand development of China'sfirst generation of environmental art major doctoral students.

She has edittedmajor professional tool book "Interior design data collection","interior design classic collection", "interior design data set2", "environmental art design and theory", "interior designstyles and genres" and other books. "Interior design styles andgenres" has been published over 595,000 copies, which was reprinted in Taiwanin traditional Chinese and were sold overseas.She has published over 40professional articles and papers and 14 books in environmental art Association.First propose "green, diverse and innovative" in China's environmental art design.Organize and hold "design for China"National Environmental Art and Design Exhibition and Forum activities, callingon Chinese local designers to inherit spiritual and cultural heritage of theChinese cultural legacy, innovative design, and contribute to China's greatrejuvenation!
