This is not just an office or a temporary exhibition space. It is an international physical platform integrating exhibitions, academic exchanges, designer incubation, and industry collaboration.

Simply put: We’re building a "home" in Beijing for global designers.

Twenty Years: From "Recognition" to "Creation"

Since its launch in 2006, the IAI Design Award has journeyed through two decades of brilliance. We’ve witnessed countless Chinese design talents rise to global prominence and seen the world’s top creative minds converge here.

Twenty years is both a milestone and a new starting point. We’ve been asking ourselves: Beyond accolades, what more can IAI contribute to the design industry?

The answer lies in the IAI Creative Practice Base, set to officially open on March 28, 2026.

Why Beijing?

Choosing Beijing was inevitable. As China’s cultural heart and a global metropolis, Beijing boasts the deepest cultural heritage, the densest concentration of creative talent, and the most cutting-edge industry resources. The IAI Creative Practice Base will take root here, serving as a vital physical hub connecting the Asia-Pacific region with the global design community—a true nexus for worldwide design.

On March 28th, the inaugural exhibition begins: "Now · Rebirth"

As the inaugural exhibition of the IAI Creative Practice Base, we will present a meticulously curated design feast themed "This Moment · Rebirth," focusing on the present.

For the first time, you will have the opportunity to experience a concentrated showcase of representative award-winning works from the 2025 season and other outstanding invited pieces—creativity in motion, languages in dialogue, and designs shaping life—all within an offline space.

This is not a retrospective, but a declaration.

Two decades of accumulation culminate in this moment of rebirth. Through this exhibition, we announce the official launch of IAI's physical space and herald the beginning of the next twenty years.

In the future, we will roll out a series of exhibitions, including the "20-Year Classic Retrospective," "International Design Invitational Exhibition," and "Thematic Special Exhibitions," to fully showcase IAI's glory and exploration. Stay tuned.
