The 2019 third quarter APDF design sharing salon with the theme of "Dialogue - Future Space" was held on August 2nd at the Shanghai International Design Exchange Center. This sharing salon aims to explore the current and upcoming upheaval of the current and future spaces through the different spatial perspectives and professional backgrounds of the four designers, This will allow more young designers to have more realistic thinking and full preparation for thought and action towards the future design direction. Nearly 100 designers and college teachers and students from Shanghai participated in this sharing salon.

Mr. Xu Youxian from Singapore, Mr. Zha Jin, Director of Changtai Construction Group Design Institute, Gao Zhengjiang, Director of Shanghai Sanwen Landscape Office, and Hong Kai, Chairman of Shanghai Ji Yi Space Design Engineering Co., Ltd. did a sharing on site. They shared their understanding of future design from the professional perspectives of architecture, interior, landscape and Yijing Fengshui,  and proposed different thinking and coping strategies for the challenges faced by designers in the Internet era，use actual case analysis on the future development trend of intelligent design, ecological design and multi-functionality.

For example, Robert Su used the design concept of Cheng Pin Bookstore as an example to emphasizedly explain how the design space takes into account the systemicity of the overall space, the sustainability of recycling, and the versatility of space, reflects the design thinking that a mature and savvy designer should have.

Ms. Zha Jin analyzed the actual case of the completed Japanese-style dining space, pointing out that the food and beverage physical stores under the Internet era and information explosion are facing unprecedented shocks and challenges. In the past, food-centered has become experience-centered. At the same time, the way of consumption has also undergone tremendous changes, and it is imperative to propose changes in design thinking.

As the professional background of landscape architects, Mr. Gao Zhengyang pays special attention to the protection of human settlements and ecological environment. He believes that the current ecological environment of the earth has deteriorated. The designers should make some designs that are beneficial to the earth's ecology. Designers should strengthen their environmental protection awareness,and shared how this concept has resulted in practical results in its multiple design cases.

Mr. Hong Kai shared his personal career development experience as a lecturer and designer of Yijing Fengshui with his own unique experience. He believed that good design should reflect Chinese philosophy and bring health, dignity and happiness to people. The "Harmony between man and nature" is the highest realm of the living environment. The wonderful sharing of the four guests won a burst of applause from the young designers on the scene.

At the end of the sharing salon, He Changcheng, the founding chairman of APDF, expressed that the future design not only represents everything that is coming or on the way coming, but also better links the past and the present. Such a design has vitality to influence the future. The design that the designer is doing now will become past in the future and whether his work can remain for a longer time depends on the sustainability and forward-looking manifestation of the work itself. Therefore, the designer has the responsibility and obligation to do every design work from the perspective of sustainable development, which is not only responsible for his own work, but also responsible for the ecological protection and sustainable development of the earth.
