20th May, Vice Mayor of Montreal Canada, Mrs Helen Fotopulos companied with Canadian designer representatives, visited Suzhou World Garden Exhibition. During the time in Shanghai, Professor He, director of IAI, had a friendly talk with the guests, and brought them visited the Shanghai Bund and the well-known architect Shanghai Peninsula Hotel. In this period, both sides also made an interesting discussion about design the future exchanges and cooperation of Sino-Canadian.

Changcheng He, the Council President of IAI, was invited to participate in the opening ceremony of Wuxi Creative Park in Wuxi on December 3, 2009. The leaders of Wuxi municipal government given the high expectations of establishing representative office of IAI and hoped the office would bring the development in the creative industry in Wuxi.
