This renovated 1,400-sqft Washington Square Park pied-à-terre reimagines a 1950s rectilinear space through sensuous curves. Designers softened angular architecture with undulating Venetian plaster walls and partitions, creating fluid zones bathed in natural light. Warm neutrals anchor bold color accents while custom curvaceous furnishings – including a park-view daybed – echo the architecture’s organic forms. The transformation balances functional urban living with artistic expression, framing both interior material textures and exterior greenery as curated artworks. A tactile manifesto of "polished ease" that challenges conventional modernism through embodied softness.
