Design  Description

A.    Project orientation -- Creating  an era guided by the exhibition hall.

A witness to history and a leading  power in the future, Panjin  Urban Planning Exhibition Hall has developed fast and embraces the era of the ocean by adhering to the principle of Development Embracing the  Ocean, Comprehensively  Deepening Reform and Enhancing City  Development Through the Harbor.

B.    Exhibition  Theme -- The Beginning of Time  andFantastic  Homes.

Adhering  to the traditional Chinese concept of a round sky and flat ground, as well as the six sides  and eight orientations of an object, the symmetrical exhibition hall is  designed to view  the earth as a jade plate  and heaven as a brocade, with the sand square as a center that expresses the idea of the Beginning  of Time  and Fantastic Homes.

C.    Design  Concept – No.1 among minimalist halls.

The  Panjin Urban Planning Exhibition Hall is minimalist,  introduces exposed and natural elements and seeks to free  visitors’ minds.  Concrete, steel structure, beams, pillars, trusses and straining beams are  aesthetically exposed  and very distinctive. The style of the  exhibition space divided by straight lines is modern, concise and generous; the  visual field is wide and smart,showcased by  a series of direct and natural colors, including black, white and grey; the  combination of  this  rough and vogue Hi-Tec feel  and Modern style makes this  the No.1 minimalist  exhibition hall.

D.    Space  layout – A perfect mix of content and logic.

Based on the  planning concept and the  logic of exhibition content, the displays are divided  into  eight sections.

Section  1: Summary –Preface hall, General introduction and City honors.

Section  2: History -- History. The five  civilizations,  evolution of organizational systems and history.

Section  3: Longitude & Latitude -- Strategy.  Developing strategy, urban-rural integration, general planning and planning  sand table.

Section 4: Strategies -- Detailed strategies. Ecological  residential communities, advanced traffic networks, basicamenities  and security.

Section  5: Industries -- Industry. Industry development zones, urban development zones, attracting investment, detailed planning and  urban expansion.

Section  6: Landscape --Tourism.  Tourism planning, introduction to  wetlands,  Wetland Culture Week, industrial planning of Dawa  Thermal Spring.

Section  7: Countryside -- SuburbanAreas. Planning of the Shuang  Taizi District, Xing Longtai District, Liaodong Bay Ecological Economic Zone,  Panshan County and Dawa County.

Section  8: Dream -- The Future,  A future city.

E.  Material – Creating an  amazing space based on the new  concept of low carbon  emissions, green and economic consumption. The open  spaces are built on  the basis of a series of modules, combining facade elements with modules and  structure to reduce costs and showcase elegant  taste.
