Application Notes:
All the participants must login the official APDF website and fill out all the related information with reference to the following steps. (all information must be available in English or Chinese.)



The first step:
Create an Account:Participants are required to login APDF official website registered as members, once your registration information approved, you will receive a registration notification letter , you can login APDF member space according to the member account ID and password, The results of the assessments and the winner list are also needed to be checked through the system. Please keep your account ID and password carefully.

Note: If you wish to become a full member of APDF, you can register online membership application form and choose to be our full member according to the member category options; full members can enjoy Entries Submission fee at a 30% discount.

The second step:
Upload your preliminary works:please click here to login directly to the official website to enter APDF member space and start uploading your works for the first assessment.(Please click “yes" option at the “entry works “column when you upload your works). After your entry work has been passed the prequalification, we will send a notification letter of the result and the payment bill requisition to your member mail box to inform you of the necessities for the follow-up review.


The third step:
Select payment method and the assessment fee:please choose your payment method and pay the works submitted fees (including the first audit fee),The payment method cannot be changed anymore during the contest once you decided which to choose.If you choose bank wire or bank transfer , you must pay for your own local bank fee; the fee will be reflected in the bill. If you run into any special circumstances and need to change your payment method, please contact the organizers directly(iai-award@iai-ap.org), we accept RMB or USD payment. Make sure the amount credited into the account is consistent with the requested bill, all international transfer fee and other taxes are borne by the participating applicants. If you need to provide formal invoices / receipts,please email to: iai-award@iai-ap.org.
*Attention please:if you remit in the name of company, you need to pay 3% of the tax to get invoice,or you can choose to get voucher; if you remit in the name as an individual, you can only get voucher.

The fourth step:

The first round of review:the juries will review the entry works respectively according to different categories on line, all participants could login the member space and check the result of the first assessment on Auguest 4th.

The fifth step:
Fill in the detailed information for each of your entry works in the latest  "Submission Registration Form” and email it to us at iai-award@iai-ap.orgPlease download the “Submission Registration Form” download the "submit the registration form" from the special area downloaded of APDF official website.
in accordance with the first assessment notification results. After the appropriate form has been downloaded please fill in the details and send the forms (and the required materials listed below) to iai-award@iai-ap.org before the submission deadline.


*As stated above, please submit the follow materials:

2.1 Interior Design: design plan, sketches, and photographed images.

2.2 Architectural Design: design plan (general layout, floor plan) , sketches, photographed images,analysis graphics,cross-section drawings, and structural details.
2.3 Industrial Product Design: renderings,multi-dimensional drawing, detailed drawing, structural drawing, and physical dimensions.
2.4 Communication Design: renderings, design plans.
2.5 Product Concept Design: renderings, drafts, andmulti-dimensional drawings.  
2.6 Designer’s photo or company’s logo

Please note that the resolution of any attached photographs should be no less than 5MB with 350 dpi resolution and at least 10 photographs for each project are required.) After the required forms and materials have been provided, send such to the IAI Design Award Organizing Committee at iai-award@iai-ap.org.


The sixth step:

The second round of review:The committee will do its second round of review job on-site according to works’ groups,the juries will review the entry works respectively according to different categories on the spot , all participants could login the member space and check the result of the first assessment on October 28th, meanwhile, we will send the result of the Secend assessment to all the participants by e-mail.

※Special remind
Confirm Registration: According to the three time periods including special offer for early entries submitted, the regular works submitted period and the late period of the works submitted, participants must submit your registration information before the three different works submission deadline. Click "Apply" button to submit your registration information. During the period of enrollment, you can always "confirm " or "cancel" the registration by contacting with the organizing committee. However, you are required to pay the cost of the first assessment (the submission fee) if you want to quit the contest after the "entry works registration form" cancellation deadline.


View the results of the first assessment:

    Organizing Committee will send you the bill by e-mails or letters. Please pay on time as required.

  3. The Organizing Committee will upload the results of the first assessment of each participating objects on Entry side. Please login the website for checking.

1、Pay the second assessment fee (the assessment show fee):

  1. Organizing Committee will send you the bill by e-mails or letters. Please pay on time as required.


  2. 2、Check the result of the second assessment:

  3. The Organizing Committee will upload the results of the second assessment of each participating objects on the membership webside of APDF. Please login the membership webside of APDF for checking. In addition, a written notice will also be mailed to you.

  4. Edit and confirm the award-winning information

  1. 1、Check the second assessment fee (the assessment show fee):

    Winners must login the membership webside of APDF and complete all information on the award winning works and confirm it within the set time. This information will be disclosed on the official website.


    2、Confirm the information for certification and Yearbook:

    All award winning works will be published in the official yearbook. Please login the membership webside of APDF to check if the certificate information is correct, and then submit high-definition pictures of the award-winning works for yearbook publishing.


Editing award-winning exhibition-related information

  1. 1、The second assessment results:

  2. All works which passes the second assessment wins the IAI Design Award and must participate in the IAI Design Exhibition holds in China.

  3. 2、Confirm the award-winning exhibition-related information:

    Login the Entry side, Select and submit the appropriate display package. Meanwhile, you also need to select and confirm the relevant transportation, distribution / dismantling way.


  4. 3、Pay the Exhibition / Yearbook publishing cost:

    the organizers will send the bill by e-mails or letters. Please pay on time as required.


Select the transport / exhibit ways for the award-winning works

After passing the second assessment, the winners are required to take the award-winning works to the exhibition venue and completed within a set time.

Because each award-winning work in the award winning exhibition hall has a designated specific placement, and the works need to be displayed in the best way to show their beauty. Please do not send your works directly to the venue by mail. Please take your award-winning works to the venue by yourself or the agent you appointed and complete all the procedures from dismantling of all the unpacking, move-in, move-out, re-packaging to mailing.
Therefore, you must select the display /dismantle way for your award-winning works on Entry side.


A. Official agents
The official agent will accomplish the display / dismantle procedures for you. Winners need to fill the application form for agent service, the award-winning works will be sent to the designated place to complete the exhibition.
B. completes the display/ dismantles by themselves
Winners need to take their own award-winning works to the exhibition venue to complete the display / dismantle procedures.
C. appointed agency or person complete the display / dismantle
Winners need to appoint an agency or person to complete the display / dismantle procedures.
If you choose the official agent to complete the display/ dismantle procedures, please read the following document (in English) to complete the relevant formalities as required.


Notice for exhibitors:

* Please do not send your entry works directly to IAI Design Award Office, we are not responsible for the possibility of any accident such as the loss, damage or a delivery error.

* Your entry qualification for the following assessment will be cancelled automatically if your entry works failed to transport to the exhibition hall and completed the exhibition before the deadline, but you still have to pay for the assessment show fee for the second assessment.
