Early/regular Submission Period

From April 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024, you will receive a two for one discount for your submission. In addition, the submission fee for the second entry in the submission form will be waived for each entry submitted. The work has the following advantages.

Here are two advantages you could enjoy for the early submission

During the first assessment, the judges will evaluate your design concept through a special protected online entrance. We will arrange English and Chinese speaking judges into the appropriate language group, and will evaluate your design concepts based on the language of your choice, so for those designers who are not proficient in English this is a more equal platform to compete for prizes.

In preparation for the second assessment

lThe IAI Design Award organizing committee will notify you by email if your design is selected for final review.

If a design has not been presented in English but has been selected for the second round of review, a new document translated into English must be uploaded for final review. This is because the judges of different nationalities will consider your designs in English as a common language in the second round of judging.

lYou need to translate the information of your entries into English and upload the English document online, or you can purchase an English translation service to complete the English translation for you.

lAt this stage, you can reissue a video and/or a prototype/model of the entry.

lThe deadline ：December 31, 2024.

lIn view of the different entries, such as buildings and environmental development projects, which can not be displayed at the venue, the organizers may arrange for the designers to participate in the dialogue-type evaluation or implement the field evaluation according to the requirements of the judges.

Final Submission

From October 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, the design submitted during the sprint will go directly to the final review. Therefore, you need to pay both the submission fee and the review and display fee. In addition to submitting entries online, you can send a video and/or a prototype to enhance the presentation. The deadline for these projects is December 31, 2023.

Second Assessment

During the second round of judging, judges from different countries will arrive at the designated judging place. They will study and discuss the design works for two days to decide the design works that will win the IAI Design Award.

Winners’ Service

l If your design work won the IAI design award, you will receive a congratulatory letter before March 2025.

l To protect your intellectual property, in 2024 the month before the awards ceremony, we will not disclose the details of your winning design work to the public or media press. Additionally, you can choose not to disclose the details of your winning design works.
After receiving the award notification letter, you may fill out the online form for the winners’ service.

l IAI holds annual award ceremony every year.

l Award- wining works will be on display both on line and at the IAI design award exhibition for one year. An IAI Yearbook will also be issued.

l The IAI team will also work with hundreds of press and media from all over the world, there will also be special reports on the award-winning design.
