Rules of Engagement
1. Entries
Design studios, design companies, product companies, colleges, Research Laboratories, inventors, design students and professionals from all over the world are eligible to participate in the competition.
2. Entry Requirement
For example, the interior design work (an actual work for the comepetition) is required to be completed in the last year in order to be eligible for entry; the architectural work is required to be completed in less than three years to be eligible for entry; industrial products are required to compete only for products that have been on the market for less than two years. All entries must be submitted by the entrant himself or herself.
Participants’ Obligations
All applicants for the IAI Design Award are required to obey the following obligations:
1).Submit works and related materials as required by the judging panel;
2).Complete the layout and withdrawal of the works during the second judging;
3).If the jury needs, you will need to introduce the work or participate in the on-site assessment;
4).If the work is awarded, the information of the winner should be published on the APDF official website and in the IAI Design Award yearbook;
5).Participate in the award-winning exhibition;
6).Payment for each phase as required.
Information Disclosure
The IAI Design Award promotes social participation, deepens the public understanding of design, reveals each process of the competition from the beginning of the selection to the announcement of the results. IAI Design Award Winning Entry Archive: The official IAI repository, which stores information about all past winners, providing third-party reviews of the winning works to the public.
1) Public Information
The organizer (IAI) will publicly release part of the entries.
2) Copyright
All the information of the submitted works is copyrighted by the applicant (including the pictures). The organizers can only use the information in the context of reviews, disclosure of information, databases and other promotional activities. The applicants shall agree that the organizers can modify the relevant information according to the purpose within the scope of its right of use.
3) Obligation of Confidentiality
The organizers, judges, and related institutions are obligated to keep all entries confidential.
After the evaluation, the organizers will announce the feedback and the reasons for winning the prize on the official website. The organizers will not accept any advisory towards detailed results of individual assessment.
Disclaimer
1.Due to the needs of the judging, the judges will make multiple touches on all the entries, which may cause inevitable loss and damage to the works. The organizing committee will not bear any responsibility for the consequences.
2. In accordance with the above rules, the organizing committee shall conduct the evaluation, exhibition, movement and custody of the entries. The organizing committee shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to the works.
3.The organizing committee shall not be liable for damages to the works caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, war or national policies, etc.
4. Once the entrant's work has been submitted, the above terms and conditions are agreed upon by default. For the grand prize, the organizing committee reserves the right of final interpretation and jurisdiction.
